Yes- how kind of you to remember! I wasnt sure if they would have the funding, but they do.That is so exciting! I am so happy for you! Let us know how it goes! I thought of you yesterday as I threw out 15 single socks that I have not been able to match for years….

Doing better than me! I have had times having counselling when the counsellor commented on me wearing odd socks. I dont usually, but I live on my own and it wasnt a day I would see anyone apart from her. In my defence, I said people cant usually *see* my socks! She was unconvinced… I got caught out once at the dentist- all too visible to him!My sister and her family have a good system which I am following when I need more (ie loose more…)- buy lots of the same colour! In her case, the same size fits them all too!
She’s a big fan of that Japanese woman’s approach too, so has a very neat sock drawer! Have a look at a video of how it should be done (!)

I am all for same looking socks. For everyone else. :lol: I do enjoy variety and fun socks. We buy same socks for my husband. Black ones start fading and being OCD I can’t match diferntly faded socks. And next time you buy another 10 pack they will be slightly different. I must admit it makes life a lot easier and I do buy packs of 10 with same looking socks whenever possible. The socks I tossed literally have been in the house for years. I am not making this up. Knowing some of them were from my oldest child and now are the size of the youngest I know how long they must have been around. I would totally use them up by wearing mismatched socks if it wasn’t for hating the different feel.

I have odd socks that are probably over 20 years old, so I know you arent making that up! I know what you mean about black socks not being the same- different fit or degree of faded. Its easier for me as I only have minor irritation at myself about that, so the odd socks should have been worn out by now!
I keep buying socks as I loose them in the clutter, telling myself that’s OK as I will need them when other socks wear out. But I think it gone beyond that level! Of course they arent expensive, but it adds up!
Such a familiar situation, including for more expensive things, of having to buy something as I have lost the one I had already. Where I only need one, so its not OK. Things like hairdriers- I only need one! Needless to say, when I found the other one I havent thrown one away. Yet another thing to clutter up!
Very well done trying out chucking 15 and found out the world doesnt end! Lots of luck chucking more!
I decided I can toss the sock becasue I found every single sevret hidden sock in the husee. But I just couldn’t do it. Lucky me. hahaha I found a pile that I had found but lost again and I know for sure that at least 3 of them have mates upstairs. Now if I only get them all in the same spot at the same time
