Hello All

Many of you will have noticed the forum was spammed yesterday with inappropriate messages.

I’m so sorry about this.

I have deleted all the spam messages and the fake users who posted them.

I am investigating how on Earth they managed to get on to the site because as all of you know, our system requires a personal response from each member to verify that they are genuine users before we activate the account.

I can only apologise and thank you for alerting me to the problem.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch again on admin@helpforhoarders.co.uk if you need to report any further issues.

I hope the forum will be back to normal again now and cannot apologise enough for this disruption.

Jasmine, I would not be the least surprised if someone set up the account personally first and then turned on the spam bot. Some forums offer the option of reporting individual posts directly with just one click. Is this an option on this board?

Another option might be to give restricted admin access like removing posts to frequent users. There is another spammer on the board again and I think you probably have enough going on with out them. Maybe the admittance progress needs some fine tuning. Sorry they are so persistent.

I just realized there is a little exclamation mark icon with each post. (was the added recently or have I just never seen it? :lol: ) If you click that you can report any individual post.

I wanted to say too that its *so great* that you have this site, and have the ongoing work with this resource. Absolutely NO need to apologise! Unfortunately, people who spam can be devious and crafty to get their messages through. Creating work for people like you having to spot and remove them. Thank you for doing that.
