The care act accepts hoarding and is included in the heading, Self Neglect

I dont know about it, but if it might need help that social services were meant to fund, I think I might have heard about it? As I’ve just been to a hoarding group run by professionals, which included an assessment by social services.

The social services check was about if you needed help with basic things like having a wash and able to dress and feed yourself. Its only people with the major need for those services who would get them. Due to a lack of funding.

I dont know if the NHS funds help for people who hoard in the mental health sector. I suspect budgets might be an issue again, and only the most ill are getting help.

sounds like jacqueline59 may know more?
