This board….sigh…maybe it was my laptop this time. I replied and it never got posted.

SO. Here. second try. My approach:

PACK UP work first and know where it is (LABEL IT)

Pack up everyday useful items next

Pack up stuff you really don’t want to part with.

Focus on getting out as fast as possible. forget about declutter while packing and focus on packing densly

Try to find additional storage space, even for limited time like parking stuff with someone “for a week”

Last pack up stuff that is not so important for you.

Good luck. Would love to here how it went when you are done with it. My last post was longer and I think better, I just simply don’t have the energy to start over again…

        Thank you for answering.

Labeling is so obvious when someone says it!

The finding additional storage space, even for limited time isn’t really an option, it’s what I was trying to do when someone said I could either bring some boxes, or myself to her boxroom! The charge is the same amount either way and it has to be a very short time only, but she’s broke and it’s very reasonable as rent. I don’t have friends with space tbh.

All the stuff is important to me, it seems to be part of the problem, but I do know it’s all equally important to not be here.

Understand about the energy. Everything feels very tiring at the moment.
Got some kitchen stuff moved across in bags to the storage place, and then into a box.

Didn’t pack away the stuff I’m supposed to be doing exercises with though to make space. So that still has to happen.

Got back intending to do more but the person who will be staying there, came back and I had to stop as I was annoying them.

I had to go to work today, so going to try and do more before they come back again.

Well, next time you annoy them, tell them the faster you are out, the less you will annoy them…fingers crossed for you to get out on time

Probably too late to be useful- I do so hope that you managed to store a significant chunk of your things and to chuck some out.

I’m really just wanting to add to CQs advice about labelling. Big label on them, about what is in them, then make a list of where each one is (only one list or it will be confusing). It can be a bit weird when you have lots of stuff- I end up with locations such as ‘Tesco carrier bag, near the window under 3 bags’!  You need to change it when needed, due to other stuff moving.

You need to find and 100% use a place for the list. You need to always find it. You can also have a list on your laptop (which I try to do) so less risk of loosing it!

            be more  than one
